Today’s teens are navigating a world filled with pressure — school demands, social media, changing friendships, family expectations, and figuring out who they are. Sometimes it’s hard to talk to parents or friends without feeling misunderstood or judged. That’s where therapy for teens comes in.
My role is to create a space where teens feel seen, heard, and respected. No lectures. No fixing. Just real conversations that help them process what’s going on and find healthy ways to cope.
Building Trust with Teen Clients
As a therapist, I understand how important it is to build trust first — not jump straight into heavy topics. I meet teens where they are and move at their pace. I also support parents when needed, while still respecting your teen’s privacy and growth.
Common Reasons Teens Come to Therapy:
- Anxiety, overthinking, or panic
- Feeling overwhelmed or unmotivated
- Struggles with self-esteem or identity
- Peer or family relationship issues
- Social media stress or comparison
- Grief, loss, or big life transitions
